Implementation of Replacement Project for Aging Water Pipes at Some Schools in Seoul
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the Seoul Metropolitan Waterworks Headquarters announced on the 26th that they will carry out a project to replace old water supply pipes in schools.
Eight schools that were unable to install Arisu drinking fountains due to parental opposition urgently need to replace their pipes made of non-corrosive-resistant materials (galvanized steel pipes) which are vulnerable to rust. Among the 1,362 schools in Seoul, 1,299 have completed the installation of Arisu drinking fountains.
