Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee Donates Additional 800 Million KRW to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 16th that it will donate 1.8 billion KRW to the social welfare corporation Children and Future Foundation to support vulnerable groups and medical staff in Korea who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee accumulated a donation of 100,000 KRW per vehicle sold from March to May as a fund to overcome COVID-19. In addition to the 1 billion KRW proactively invested, an additional donation of about 800 million KRW was raised. During this period, Benz Korea sold a total of 18,389 vehicles based on the Korea Imported Automobile Association registration numbers.
The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee proactively invested 1 billion KRW in February to support vulnerable groups. The additional 800 million KRW raised will be used in various ways to support not only vulnerable children and adolescent families and medical staff in Korea who need help due to the impact of COVID-19, but also the elderly, small business owners, medical institutions, and other community members.
