View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Hyun-joo] Kim Seong-il, a teacher at Changmun Girls' High School, was elected as the 38th president of the Seoul Metropolitan Teachers' Association.
The vice presidents elected are Park Jae-yeol, principal of Seoul Baekseok Elementary School, Kwon Jin-sook, a teacher at Jeonghwa Girls' Commercial High School, and Kim Jeong-won, a professor at Seoul National University of Education. The presidential term begins on the 29th and lasts for three years.

President Kim graduated from the Department of Physical Education at Suwon University and earned his master's and doctorate degrees in Physical Education from Korea University Graduate School of Education. Since 1994, he has worked as a teacher at Changmun Girls' High School and Deokwon Girls' High School, served as principal of Changmun Girls' High School from 2004 to 2016, and is currently working as a teacher.
He previously served as the senior vice president of the 37th presidential team.
