The global influence of BTS has once again been proven. In Mexico, their live concert film ranked among the top box office hits, and they continue to achieve overwhelming success on the U.S. Billboard charts.
On April 15, Yonhap News reported, citing the National Chamber of the Film Industry of Mexico, that "BTS World Tour: ARIRANG Goyang Live Viewing," which premiered on April 11, recorded approximately 4.1 billion won in sales over the weekend and ranked second at the box office.

Notably, despite the screenings taking place in the early morning hours, all tickets sold out immediately after reservations opened, reflecting explosive demand. Mexico is considered a key region for the spread of K-pop, and the influence of the local fanbase, known as "ARMY," is immense. In particular, Mexico City, the nation's capital, is recognized as the city with the highest BTS music streaming volume on global music platforms, with more than 700,000 monthly listeners. Fueled by this popularity, local interest in Korean culture as a whole is rapidly expanding.
In this context, the upcoming BTS concert at Mexico City's GNP Seguros Stadium in May also sold out within 37 minutes of ticket sales opening, further underscoring the high anticipation. The group’s impact has grown so significant that even local politicians are taking notice. Their musical achievements are also remarkable. BTS’s 5th album, "ARIRANG," topped the main U.S. Billboard album chart "Billboard 200" for three consecutive weeks, setting a first-ever record for K-pop. The title track "SWIM" ranked fifth on the singles chart "Hot 100," remaining in the Top 5 for three consecutive weeks, while multiple tracks from the album charted simultaneously, showcasing their impressive chart power.

The animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters" OST track "Golden" has remained on the charts for 42 consecutive weeks, while the remix of "Dracula," featuring Jennie of Blackpink, has surged back up the charts, reaching a new peak. Starting with their Goyang concert, BTS will embark on a massive world tour, performing 85 shows across 34 cities in Japan, North America, Europe, South America, and more. This marks the largest single tour by a Korean artist to date, and with the possibility of additional shows, BTS is poised to further expand their presence in the global music market.
