View original imageThe 'HUFS Special Lecture' program integrates the university's strengths in diplomacy, international commerce, and the humanities with core agendas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and big data, providing young people with opportunities to develop both humanistic literacy and career competencies.
The event was sponsored by Deoksul Kim, Chairman of Unistory Asset Management and President of the Alumni Association, and jointly organized by the Special Lecture Steering Committee and the University Career Plus Center.
As the guest speaker, Hong delivered a lecture on the theme, "Game QA and the Current State and Future Prospects of the Game Industry in the Era of AI."
In her talk, she explained the role of QA (quality assurance) throughout the entire game development process and the competencies required in the field, emphasizing, "Even in an era of rapidly advancing AI technology, what ultimately matters most is understanding and empathizing with people."
A student who attended the special lecture remarked, "I was impressed to learn that QA in game development plays a key role beyond merely detecting errors; it enhances user experience and brand credibility. The session provided a concrete understanding of the skills required in real-world practice."

Meanwhile, Hong has served as Game QA Team Leader and Game QA Division Director at NCSOFT since 2004, and is currently Head of the QA Center and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at NC QA, working to drive innovation and strengthen competitiveness in the game industry.
