International Fire & Safety Expo Kicks Off at EXCO with 448 Companies and Fire Safety Leaders from 14 Countries Visiting Korea
The 22nd International Fire & Safety Expo Korea 2026, the nation’s only exhibition specializing in fire safety and Asia’s leading fire safety business expo, will be held at EXCO in Daegu from May 20 to 22 for three days.
This year’s expo will take place across EXCO’s outdoor plaza and both the East and West Halls, covering a total of 30,000 square meters. A total of 448 companies will participate, operating 1,566 booths. The event aims to go beyond a conventional exhibition by serving as a ‘global business platform’ that supports domestic companies’ international expansion and delivers tangible results.
Notably, the expo’s global standing has significantly increased this year, with heads of overseas fire safety agencies from 17 organizations in 14 countries attending, including the ministers of emergency situations from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan and the head of Mongolia’s National Emergency Management Agency. Through high-level talks, they plan to discuss the sustainable development of the fire safety industry and practical cooperation between nations.
Practical business programs to expand sales channels will also be significantly strengthened. The event aims to achieve export consultation deals worth approximately 90 billion won through one-on-one export consultations in partnership with KOTRA and purchasing consultations organized by the Korea Commission for Corporate Partnership. In particular, this year’s export consultations will see the participation of 46 prominent overseas buyers from 11 countries including Vietnam, Bangladesh, Morocco, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar, Jordan, India, China, and Turkey, providing a decisive springboard for Korean companies to expand into global markets.
The visiting buyers include not only fire safety importers and distributors from each country, but also construction and real estate development companies (such as Phoenix Techzone from India), industrial safety and disaster management experts, and officials from public agencies like the Istanbul Fire Department in Turkey.
These buyers have shown keen interest in Korea’s advanced fire and disaster prevention equipment and fire alarm systems, intelligent security and CCTV installations, gas detectors, and unmanned and automated disaster safety solutions, and they are seeking purchase consultations. Through this year’s consultations, the global expansion of Korean companies into emerging markets in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa is expected to accelerate further.
Hyundai Everdigm, participating in the expo, will showcase advanced fire trucks equipped with devices that allow drainage pump modules to respond to flooding disasters on existing ladder and articulated fire trucks, as well as unmanned firefighting robots. Hyundai Rotem will unveil the ‘HR-SHERPA’ unmanned firefighting robot, which can be remotely and autonomously operated as an electrified vehicle, demonstrating its capabilities in fire scene response.
