The initiative aims not only to provide basic facility support, but also to enhance actual competitiveness by linking professional consulting with facility improvements.
The consulting will be conducted in a one-on-one format, with experts visiting each business in person to identify challenges, and providing advice tailored to each establishment over a total of two sessions. Store owners can receive guidance and practical solutions on overall business management, including marketing, customer relations, menu development, hygiene, tax and labor, as well as strategies appropriate for their specific industry and circumstances.
For businesses where facility upgrades are deemed necessary based on the consulting results, the district will provide up to 1.55 million won per business to cover costs for signs, display cases, interior design, and other facility improvements. However, expenses for purchasing products or raw materials, as well as facilities ordered or installed before being selected for the program, will not be eligible for support.
Eligible applicants must have registered their business in Geumcheon-gu as of the application date and must be small business owners who are operating a store-type business at a leased location within Geumcheon-gu. Additional requirements include being in business for at least six months and having annual sales of 100 million won or less over the past year.
Applications will be accepted through the Seoul Small Business Integrated Support Portal until May 31. The district will select recipients after comprehensive assessment, including on-site evaluations, sales decline rates, and rental deposit amounts, and will announce the results on the Geumcheon-gu Office website as well as through individual notifications.
Last year, the district also provided promotional and store operation consulting, as well as facility improvement funding, to 27 local small business establishments. Participating businesses reported high satisfaction, particularly with improvements in the store environment and increased customer inflow.
