CJ Logistics Reports Q1 Sales of 3.2145 Trillion Won, Up 7.4% Year-on-Year
Sales Up 7.4% and Operating Profit Up 7.9% Year-on-Year
Significant Growth in O-NE (Parcel Delivery) Volume Driven by "Maeil O-NE" Service
On May 13, CJ Logistics announced that, on a consolidated basis, its preliminary sales and operating profit for the first quarter of this year reached 3.2145 trillion won and 92.1 billion won, respectively.
Compared to the same period last year, sales increased by 7.4% and operating profit by 7.9%.
By business segment, the parcel delivery (O-NE) division recorded sales of 967.8 billion won, up 10.5% year-on-year. This significant volume increase was attributed to the seamless delivery service 'Maeil O-NE (O-NE)' launched last year. During the same period, operating profit was 34.2 billion won, similar to the previous year, due to factors such as reinvestment for competitiveness and differences in the timing of operating cost recognition.
In the contract logistics (CL) division, sales grew thanks to continued new orders, but profitability declined due to a decrease in volumes in certain industries such as ports. As a result, the CL division posted sales of 853.3 billion won, up 4.9% year-on-year, while operating profit fell by 9.5% to 36 billion won.

The global business division recorded sales of 1.1694 trillion won and operating profit of 17.7 billion won. Compared to the first quarter of the previous year, sales increased by 2.3% and operating profit by 52.6%. Despite increased freight rate volatility caused by the U.S.-Iran war and other factors, the company achieved both top-line growth and improved profitability due to increased profits in major strategic countries with large-scale orders, as well as expanded cross-border e-commerce (CBE) volumes.
