SK Rent-a-Car Launches 'One-way Service' and 'Delivery-to-You Service' Simultaneously
"Flexible Pick-Up and Return Anytime, Anywhere"
SK Rent-a-Car is strengthening its competitiveness in the short-term rental market by introducing two new services in May, a time when demand for outings and travel significantly increases. These new offerings are designed to dramatically enhance customer convenience in mobility.
On May 7, SK Rent-a-Car announced that it will implement the 'One-way Service' and the 'Delivery-to-You Service' at its short-term rental branches across the Korean mainland.
First, the 'One-way Service' allows customers to return their rental vehicle to a different branch from where they picked it up, enabling greater flexibility according to their travel route. For example, after renting a car in Seoul and traveling to a different region, customers can return the car to a local branch and immediately continue their journey by train or airplane, eliminating the inconvenience of having to return to the original rental location.
This service is available at approximately 50 SK Rent-a-Car branches nationwide, excluding Jeju Island. The company also plans to expand the number of participating branches in response to customer demand. The 'One-way Service' can be used by paying an additional one-way fee on top of the basic rental fee.
The newly launched 'Delivery-to-You Service' allows customers to specify a desired location—such as their home, office, or hotel—without needing to visit a branch. SK Rent-a-Car will deliver the vehicle directly to the designated spot. This service is particularly convenient for customers with a lot of luggage, those traveling with elderly companions, or anyone needing to save time on travel. The 'Delivery-to-You Service' can be used by paying an additional service fee of 30,000 won on top of the basic rental fee, and vehicles can be conveniently received at any location near approximately 90 SK Rent-a-Car branches nationwide, excluding Jeju Island.
Both services are not just simple feature additions but represent a shift in the car rental model from a 'branch-centered' approach to a 'customer route-centered' approach. Customers can check available branches and make reservations through the SK Rent-a-Car Direct online channel.
