Seoul Milk Cooperative announced on May 7 that it has launched a high-protein sliced cheese product called "Protein Cheese (90g)."
Seoul Milk's "Protein Cheese (90g)" is a sliced cheese containing 22 grams of protein per pack, which is sufficient to meet the recommended protein intake for one adult meal (22–25g). It also contains all nine essential amino acids that help with protein synthesis, as well as 3,800mg of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA), which play a key role in muscle formation and maintenance. Additionally, it contains 600mg of calcium, which is beneficial for bone health. This product is available exclusively at convenience stores.

Seoul Milk Cooperative introduced a high-protein cheese in response to the increasing demand for related products, as more consumers are enjoying protein as a part of daily health management foods rather than just as a workout supplement. According to the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (aT), the domestic protein food market grew from 120.6 billion won in 2019 to 450 billion won in 2024, nearly quadrupling in five years. This year, the market size is expected to reach 800 billion won.
