Busan Urban Corporation President's Award and Cash Prize for Outstanding Entries
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) will sponsor the "2026 Busan Public Data·AI Startup Competition" to foster a data-driven innovative startup ecosystem.
This competition, hosted by the Busan Metropolitan Government and organized by Busan Technopark, aims to discover innovative business models that integrate public data and AI technologies. It is also intended to support the transformation of creative private-sector ideas into actual startups and commercialized businesses. Applications will be accepted until June 25, 2026.
Through this sponsorship, Busan Urban Corporation plans to broaden the use of public data and support the discovery of smart, AI-based services that citizens can experience in their daily lives. The corporation also aims to contribute to the activation of the local digital economy and the creation of a data-driven industrial ecosystem.
The contest is divided into two categories: ▲Idea Planning and ▲Product and Service Development. In particular, Busan Urban Corporation will select outstanding entries in the "Product and Service Development" category that utilize at least one of the datasets the corporation has made available. The winners will receive the "Busan Urban Corporation President's Award" and a cash prize of 1 million won.
The top winners of the competition will be granted entry to the integrated finals of the "14th Pan-Governmental Public Data Startup Competition," organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and will also receive follow-up support such as customized consulting.
