The project’s goals are to bridge the AI education gap by developing a basic AI curriculum and strengthening AI competencies among instructors.
Through this project, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies will focus on the following key initiatives: developing and operating a basic AI curriculum, strengthening instructors’ AI competencies, establishing a dedicated organization for AI basic education, and sharing and spreading exemplary educational models. Based on these efforts, the university plans not only to cultivate students’ foundational AI competencies, but also to build a sustainable AI education ecosystem at the institutional level.
In particular, as a university with a strong focus on the humanities, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies intends to implement the “Breadth x Depth AI Education Model,” which combines its accumulated expertise in languages and the humanities with multilingual and global data literacy, as well as AI-based international problem-solving capabilities. The university will also establish a presidentially affiliated AI Education Innovation Task Force to concentrate its resources and strengthen the project’s implementation system.
