Deloitte: Companies Must Collaborate with Machines in the AI Era
Release of the "2026 Global Human Capital Trends" Report
With the advent of the artificial intelligence (AI) era, there are growing calls for companies to redesign their work so that humans and machines can interact with each other.
On April 23, Deloitte Korea announced the release of its report, "2026 Global Human Capital Trends: The Moment of Transformation, Rediscovering Human-Centered Competitiveness," which surveyed approximately 9,000 business leaders in 89 countries worldwide.
The report states that organizations that intentionally design collaboration between humans and machines are twice as likely to exceed expected returns on AI investments and approximately 2.5 times more likely to improve their financial performance. However, while 66% of respondents recognized the importance of human-machine interaction, only 6% of companies have actually implemented it.
This report covers topics such as the design of human-machine collaboration, data trust and responding to misinformation, accountability in decision-making in the AI era, management of cultural debt, and agile orchestration of capabilities and resources.

Choi Giwon, Human Capital Leader (Managing Director) at Deloitte Korea, emphasized, "Success in the AI era depends not on technology itself, but on how we redefine the way humans and machines work together. Only companies that redesign their work structures and organizational culture around human capital will be able to maintain sustainable competitiveness."
