Gyeonggi-do Women's Family Foundation Signs Agreement with Five Cities and Counties to Eradicate Child and Adolescent Sexual Exploitation
The Gender Violence Integrated Response Team of the Gyeonggi-do Women's Family Foundation has established a community cooperation network with five youth sexual culture centers in the province to eradicate child and adolescent sexual exploitation.
On April 21, the Gender Violence Integrated Response Team signed a "Cooperation Agreement for Supporting Victims of Child and Adolescent Sexual Exploitation" with the youth sexual culture centers of Bucheon, Suwon, Anyang, Yongin, and Hwaseong at the Gyeonggi-do Women's Vision Center.
This agreement was promoted in order to reflect the voices raised during last year's roundtable meeting, aiming to establish an early detection and prompt response system for victims.
Under the agreement, the two parties agreed to operate a robust support system through joint online and offline prevention campaigns, providing professional counseling for child and adolescent victims and their caregivers, and holding regular case meetings to strengthen the capabilities of workers.

As a result, a cooperative foundation has now been established with five youth sexual culture centers in cities and counties throughout the province, including the northern and southern centers previously working with the foundation.

Lee Sungeun, Head of the Gender Violence Integrated Response Team, stated, "This agreement is significant in that it broadens the horizon of cooperation to youth support institutions—those that children and adolescents encounter first in their daily lives. We will continue to identify relevant youth institutions across the province and build a strong safety net for the prevention of and support for victims of child and adolescent sexual exploitation."
