Audi Korea announced on April 20 that it has officially launched the premium business sedan, "The New Audi A6," in South Korea.
The launch event, held at Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul in Jung-gu, Seoul, was attended by Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management at Audi AG, who visited Korea for the first time, Marco Schwert, Member of the Board of Management at Audi AG and Head of Sales and Marketing, and Steve Clotty, President of Audi Korea.

View original imageChairman Döllner stated, "Korea is a very important strategic market for Audi, not only in terms of sales volume but also in terms of influence," and added, "Over the past 20 years, Korean customers have set the standard for Audi and the global premium automotive industry."
He continued, "Audi has built the most comprehensive product strategy in its history, offering a flexible powertrain lineup that includes both internal combustion engines and fully electric vehicles, from entry-level to flagship models." He also said, "We will strengthen our SUV lineup by introducing the Q7 and Q9, and accelerate the transition to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs)."
Schwert commented, "Korea is one of the most dynamic premium markets in the world, with both luxury sedans and SUVs showing strong performance." He added, "With The New Audi A6, we are setting a new standard for premium C-segment vehicles. This is not just the launch of a new model, but the start of a new journey for Audi."
The A6, a C-segment model, has sold over 120,000 units and saw a 54.7% year-on-year growth in the first quarter of this year. The New Audi A6 achieves a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.23 through a meticulously designed body, realizing both efficiency and quietness. With a user-centric digital interface and business lounge-level interior space, it offers a completely new driving and riding experience.
All trims come standard with a 7-speed automatic S tronic transmission, delivering Audi’s signature dynamic driving performance. The gasoline model, "The New Audi A6 40 TFSI," offers a maximum output of 203.9 horsepower; "The New Audi A6 45 TFSI quattro" delivers 271.9 horsepower; and the top-tier gasoline model, "The New Audi A6 55 TFSI quattro," boasts a powerful maximum output of 367 horsepower.
The diesel model, "The New Audi A6 40 TDI quattro," features a maximum output of 204 horsepower and a maximum torque of 40.789 kg.m, delivering ample torque performance. The "The New Audi A6 40 TDI quattro" is equipped with the Mild Hybrid Plus (MHEV Plus) system, enhancing efficiency and quietness depending on driving conditions.
All trims are tailored with differentiated specifications for the Korean market, reflecting the needs of local customers. Premium exterior features such as a switchable panoramic roof, high-beam assist, headlight washers, welcome ceremony, body-color side mirrors, and side mirror projection lights come standard on all trims. Retractable door handles, which automatically operate when approaching the car, enhance convenience while maintaining a sleek body line.
All models come standard with advanced lighting technology, including matrix LED headlights that detect road conditions in real time and intuitively project various information onto the road surface. The rear features second-generation digital OLED taillights, creating a three-dimensional lighting design with 396 OLED segments. With eight front and rear light signatures and various lighting scenarios, the A6 offers a distinctive and unique visual identity.
Inside, all trims feature heated seats for both front and rear passengers, ventilated front seats with lumbar support, and folding rear seats as standard. The digital stage, consisting of an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit with curved design and OLED technology, a 14.5-inch MMI touch display, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display, provides an intuitive and immersive digital experience for both drivers and passengers. KakaoMap and TMap are supported on the virtual cockpit via the smartphone interface. The Bang & Olufsen (B&O) 3D premium sound system (with 16 speakers) is also standard.
The New Audi A6 is available in a total of six trims: The New Audi A6 40 TFSI Comfort, The New Audi A6 40 TFSI Advanced, The New Audi A6 40 TFSI S-line, The New Audi A6 45 TFSI quattro S-line, The New Audi A6 55 TFSI quattro S-line, and The New Audi A6 40 TDI quattro S-line.
