Jeong Wono's Campaign Forms 'Oh Sehoon 10-Year Evaluation Headquarters'... "Judging Oh's 10-Year Administration"
"If Oh Wins a Fifth Term, It Will Be 'Yoon Suk-yeol Season 2'"
Standing Co-Chairs: Lee Inyoung and Seo Youngkyo
Jung Wono, the Democratic Party candidate for Seoul mayor, has completed forming the “Melting Pot·One Team” election campaign committee and has begun full-scale preparations for the election campaign. The standing co-chairs of the campaign committee, who will oversee the campaign, are Assemblyman Lee Inyoung, a five-term lawmaker and the most senior in Seoul, and Assemblywoman Seo Youngkyo, who is serving her fourth term. A separate organization has also been established specifically to scrutinize Mayor Oh Sehoon's 10 years in office.

Assemblyman Lee Jeongheon, who is serving as chief spokesperson for Jung’s campaign, explained the rationale for establishing a separate “Oh Sehoon 10-Year Review Team,” stating, “It is extremely important to recognize that this Seoul mayoral election is about holding Mayor Oh Sehoon accountable for his 10 years in office.” The director of the review team is Assemblyman Chun Junho, who previously served as chief of staff to the Seoul mayor, while Lee Jieun, a lawyer and former police officer who chairs the Democratic Party’s Mapo-gap district committee, joined as deputy director. The team plans to examine the missteps and budget waste of Mayor Oh’s 10-year administration and propose practical alternatives.
Assemblyman Lee Haesik, the general campaign director, said, “Since the Seoul Metropolitan Government is under the oversight of the National Assembly’s Public Administration and Security Committee and the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, we will work with each of the standing committee members to identify problems.” He added, “Assemblywoman Ko Minjeong, who has defeated Mayor Oh in previous general elections, along with other Seoul-area lawmakers, will play the role of attackers to hold Mayor Oh accountable for his record as mayor.”
Regarding Mayor Oh Sehoon’s claim that if Jung wins, it will be “Park Wonsoon Season 2,” Jung’s camp dismissed it as “Mayor Oh’s repetitive rhetoric,” adding, “Mayor Oh has always argued that Park Wonsoon’s administration turned City Hall into an ATM for civic and left-wing organizations, but this is a typical political attack that tries to cover up his own failures through ideological framing and division.”
Assemblyman Chae Hyeonil, who is serving as head of the general situation room and support headquarters, said, “If Mayor Oh Sehoon is elected for a fifth term, it would mean a ‘Yoon Sukyeol Season 2.’ What Seoul needs is a mayor who will put its citizens first and work in harmony with the Lee Jaemyung administration.”
