'Global Green Hub Korea' in Yeosu... Expanding Overseas Opportunities for Green Industry Contracts
The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment announced on April 19 that it will host the ‘Global Green Hub Korea (GGHK) 2026’ from April 20 to 21 at Sono Calm Yeosu and the Yeosu Expo area in South Jeolla Province. The event is co-hosted with the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute, with participation from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
This event is designed to support Korean companies in expanding their green industry businesses overseas and to establish order and procurement networks by inviting international clients and buyers. Started in 2008, this year marks the 19th edition. More than 50 overseas organizations and companies from 30 countries, along with over 150 domestic companies, will participate.
The event will consist of the Global Green Vision Forum, international green business briefings, and one-on-one business meetings. Notably, this year’s event will be held in conjunction with the ‘International Green Transition Week,’ which is expected to create greater synergy.
At the Global Green Vision Forum, high-ranking officials from partner countries such as Serbia and Tanzania will deliver keynote speeches on energy efficiency policies and future directions.
During the business briefings, representatives from project ordering agencies in countries including Ghana, Mozambique, the Philippines, Colombia, South Africa, and Oman will directly introduce their major environment and energy projects, sharing details on bidding procedures and project contents.
Approximately 350 one-on-one business meetings will take place. Korean companies will promote their environmental and energy technologies while seeking export and contract opportunities. In addition, international buyers will visit the ‘Korea Climate Environment Energy Expo’ to assess the technological capabilities of companies in the South Jeolla region.

The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment expressed hope that, despite the downturn in overseas contract opportunities due to the aftermath of the Middle East conflict, this event will serve as a catalyst for Korean companies to expand their overseas business and exports. Jung Eunha, Director General for International Cooperation at the ministry, stated, “Amid the climate crisis and energy security challenges, we will showcase the competitiveness of Korea’s green industry to the world and contribute to the global spread of the green transition.”
