Junggu Seoul Distributes 'Yi Sun-sin 1545' Passport Cases on a First-Come, First-Served Basis to Residents Collecting Passports
Services Include Passport Delivery and Evening Service Center Operations
Junggu District in Seoul is distributing passport cases featuring the city brand 'Yi Sun-sin 1545' on a first-come, first-served basis to residents who visit the district office to collect their passports.
The front of the case is printed with Junggu’s policy brand 'Naepyeon Junggu', while the back features 'Yi Sun-sin 1545' and the contact information for the Consular Call Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This design is intended not only to enable residents to receive immediate assistance during emergencies while traveling abroad, but also to promote the Junggu brand both domestically and internationally. The case is designed with open top and bottom sections for easy insertion and removal of the passport, and it includes a pocket for storing cards and boarding passes together.
Junggu is also implementing consumer-oriented, customized passport services. Since January last year, the district has operated a 'Passport Delivery Service', in which district officials personally deliver passports to seniors aged 75 or older and persons with severe disabilities who have difficulty traveling. To date, 132 passports have been delivered through this initiative.
Every Monday and Wednesday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the district office operates an evening service center. This service is intended for people such as office workers who are unable to visit during regular weekday hours, and general passport application and collection services are available during these times.
