The curriculum began with an understanding of hypertension and diabetes, and included essential practical topics such as: proper medication methods, low-salt and low-sugar dietary therapy, aerobic and strength exercises for daily life, and stress management. In particular, the program focused on hands-on experiences, with activities such as measuring sodium levels using a salinity meter, making healthy snacks, and practicing stretching exercises, enabling participants to adopt correct lifestyle habits.
The county provided all participants with basic health checks and personalized health consultations. In addition, for those who wished, Damyang County offered practical medical benefits by subsidizing complication screening fees for hypertension and diabetes through partnerships with Damyang Sarang Hospital and Damyang Woori Eye Clinic.
