Dongdaemun-gu Floodplain Along Jungnangcheon in Full Bloom with Tulips
Poppies and Cornflowers to Follow in Summer
The Four Seasons Garden along Jungnangcheon in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, has been brightly colored with tulips. In four sections of the floodplain beneath Jangpyeonggyo Bridge, a total of 71,000 tulips across 31 varieties are in full bloom. Vibrant flowers in red, pink, yellow, and other colors stretch along the path right beside the walking trail, transforming what is usually a place people pass by into a popular spring outing destination.
Since 2023, the district has been creating seasonal flower gardens along Jungnangcheon. Following the spring tulips, poppies and cornflowers will bloom in the summer, with plans to cultivate the area into a community garden where residents can enjoy different flowers throughout all four seasons.
