"Taxi Driver 3" and "Rookie Director Kim Yeonkyoung" Win Best Production at Korean PD Awards

The Korean Producers & Directors Association announced the winners of the 38th Korean PD Awards on April 14. The awards ceremony will be held at the MBC Public Hall in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, on April 24.
In the TV drama category, SBS's "Taxi Driver 3" received the Best Production Award, while in the variety category, MBC's "Rookie Director Kim Yeon-kyung" was honored. In the current affairs and documentary category, EBS's "DocuPrime: To Buy or to Hold - The Toilet War" was selected, and in the educational and information category, KBS's "Documentary 3 Days Special Edition: About Time - 72 Hours Journey to 10 Years Ago" was awarded.
Other TV programs that made the list for the Best Production Award include KBS's "Docu Insight: Finless Porpoise, Breath of the Sea" (independent production), Daejeon MBC's "Kids, Get Out - Store No. 1" (regional regular), and KBS Chuncheon’s "Good Samaritans on the Street" (regional special).
In the radio category, MBC's "Koryoin, Where Is My Home?" (special), CBS's "Lee Kangmin's Magazine Company" (current affairs and educational drama), and MBC's "Our Song Liberation Journal" (music and entertainment) will each receive Best Production Awards.
The Experimental Spirit Award goes to MBC's "Model Prison" (TV) and MBC's "Women's Generation 2025 Summer Special" (radio). The Digital Content Award was given to KBS's "The Neighboring Families." The New Media Content Award, which was newly established this year, goes to Gugak FM's "I Am an Artist."

The Performer Award will be presented to singer Cho Yongpil, actor Lee Jehoon, former national volleyball player Kim Yeon-koung, and the late music critic Kim Youngdae. The Special Award will be given to the late Jeon Yooseong, while the Achievement Award goes to puppeteer Oh Geumseok, who has performed hand puppetry for 40 years. The grand prize, "PD of the Year," will be announced on the day of the ceremony.
