'Youth AI Project:D' is a youth-oriented AI program organized by Mapo Youth Cultural Center, with participation from KBDS's social contribution AI community 'KB ITogether' and Microsoft Korea. The inauguration ceremony was successfully held on the 4th at KB Financial Group's Hapjeong Training Center, and the first class, led by current IT professionals from KBDS as main instructors, took place on the 11th at Mapo Youth Cultural Center. The program will run until the end of August.

This program goes beyond simple technical education by establishing a mentoring system that connects active IT professionals, university student mentors, and high school students. It provides high school students with opportunities to explore career paths, offers university mentors real-world experience, and creates a platform for professionals to share their knowledge.

This year's curriculum includes: ▲ Basic AI training based on Microsoft Azure OpenAI ▲ Prompt engineering ▲ AI agent development. As a final stage, a design thinking workshop in the format of a hackathon will be held, and the hackathon outcomes can be used as practical portfolios for university admission or job applications. In addition, an AI experience festival called 'P.I.N.E Con' for local elementary students and parents will also be organized.

KBDS began offering pilot AI education to middle school students in 2024 and successfully completed the first session of the program for high school students last year. The second session aims to evolve into a more advanced integrated model encompassing education, mentoring, and community engagement.

KBDS CEO Park Chanyong said, "A meaningful program has been created by combining voluntary participation from in-house AI groups and employee volunteer teams," adding, "We will leverage the expertise of IT subsidiaries within KB Financial Group to develop a win-win model for mutual growth with the local community."
