Criticism of "Uncontrollable Impulsiveness with His Fingers"
Song Eon-seok, floor leader of the People Power Party, criticized President Lee Jae-myung's post on social networking services (SNS), calling it an "unprecedented diplomatic disaster."
At the party policy meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, on April 14, Song stated, "President Lee shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) of former Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva condemning Israel," and questioned, "What does it mean for him to share this video?"

If it was hastily deleted, the public wants the presidential office to provide a full explanation, without a single lie, regarding the reason and circumstances behind the deletion."
He explained, "Posts by the President of the Republic of Korea on SNS are seen in real-time by people around the world, and represent the country's policy direction. They can be considered even more important state records than ordinary policies."
Song further pointed out, "Posts addressing sensitive diplomatic issues must be written and managed with great care after expert review. This account is not something where just any post can be written and then deleted at any time. How long must the Korean people bear the shame of President Lee's unbearably careless use of his fingers?"
He also noted that President Lee had shared on X a video believed to show Israeli soldiers allegedly killing Palestinian children, stating, "For the President of Korea to upload fake news on SNS and then receive condemnation from a foreign government marks an unprecedented diplomatic disaster in the history of Korean diplomacy."

Song emphasized, "What the public is asking regarding this post is not about universal human rights values, but rather, 'How did fake news end up being posted on the President's SNS?' The people are calling for clarity on whether the President was, so to speak, duped by fake news."
