At around 9:30 a.m. on the 8th, one wolf escaped from OWorld in Sajung-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon. OWorld, Jung-gu, the police, and fire authorities are conducting a joint search and capture operation. According to Yonhap News on April 8, at approximately 9:30 a.m., a wolf escaped from the O World Zoo located in Sajung-dong, Jung-gu, Daejeon. The fire authorities received a report about the wolf's escape at 10:24 a.m. and, together with the police and O World officials, are currently conducting a search and capture operation. Initially, it was presumed that the escaped wolf remained inside the zoo, but it has since been confirmed that the animal moved toward an intersection near the perimeter of O World.
The Daejeon city government sent out a disaster alert message stating, "A wolf has escaped from O World. Search and capture operations are underway inside the zoo. Visitors and nearby residents are advised to pay close attention to their safety."
