Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province will host a citizen-participation quiz program at the Hoamsa Royal Festival, utilizing its social media character 'Byeolsan,' which has 87,500 subscribers.

View original imageDuring the 9th Hoamsa Royal Festival, the city will hold the 'Jeongdap Tak! Bronze Bell! Byeolsan OX Quiz' on the main stage on April 18. A total of 400 participants will be recruited in advance.
Citizens who wish to participate can apply in advance via the QR code provided on the OX quiz poster. Registration will close once all spots have been filled.
The program is notable for being hosted directly by a local influencer who is active on the YouTube channel 'Yangju Byeolsan.' The quiz will follow an OX format, combining questions about the history and culture of Hoamsa Temple Site with general knowledge, and will include a revival round to encourage on-site engagement.
Byeolsan, which has consistently offered citizen participation content, will once again add interactive elements to the festival, which is typically focused on spectating.
Yangju City also expects to achieve promotional synergy by linking on-site events with online content through Byeolsan.
