Woori Investment & Securities Launches Stock Prediction Game Event 'WeBee Killshot'
Woori Investment & Securities announced on April 6 that it is hosting the stock prediction game event, 'WeBee Killshot'.
'WeBee Killshot' is an interactive game event in which participants select one of five stocks disclosed each morning and predict whether its price will rise or fall the following day. The five stocks are randomly chosen each day from a pool of 20 blue-chip stocks, which are selected based on this year's top 100 stocks by market capitalization and a daily trading value of at least 5 billion won.
Participants can register through the event banner on the 'WooriWON MTS' app, select one of the stocks revealed at 8 a.m. each day, and predict by 10 p.m. whether the next day's closing price will be higher or lower compared to the previous day. If the price remains unchanged, it is considered a successful prediction.
The event consists of a warm-up 'Pre-Event' for practice and the main 'Event' for actual competition. The 'Pre-Event' runs for five days from April 6 to April 10, and the customer with the highest consecutive correct predictions during this period will receive a cash prize of 5 million won. The 'Main Event' will take place from April 13 to May 22. The top participant with the highest number of consecutive correct predictions during the main event period will be awarded a Mercedes-Benz S-Class valued at 160 million won. To encourage continuous market observation, interim rewards will also be given during the main event. Upon completing the weekly mission, one share from among six types of domestic equity ETFs will be randomly awarded, with each participant eligible to receive up to six shares in total.
Individual customers who hold a general account with Woori Investment & Securities and have completed the event registration are eligible to participate. In the case of a tie for first place, rewards will be given according to specific criteria, and maintaining the account until the prize distribution date is required. Taxes and fees (22%) on prizes exceeding 50,000 won, as well as vehicle acquisition tax, are the responsibility of the winner.
