FedEx and Korea Post Strengthen EMS Premium Delivery... Global Shipping to 220 Countries Within 3 Days
IP and IPF Services Available from April 1
Shipping Support for Heavy Freight up to 2,000 kg
Federal Express Corporation (FedEx) has signed an agreement with Korea Post Headquarters (Korea Post) to strengthen the global delivery capabilities of 'EMS Premium,' its international express service. The plan is to enhance delivery efficiency by integrating Korea Post's domestic network with FedEx's air routes.
FedEx announced that starting April 1, it will provide 'FedEx International Priority (IP)' and 'FedEx International Priority Freight (IPF)' services to Korea Post customers. With these services, deliveries to over 220 countries and regions around the world can be made within 1 to 3 business days.
The IP service supports shipments of up to 70 kg, while the IPF service allows for shipments of up to 2,000 kg. This enables FedEx to meet a wide range of demands, from e-commerce volumes to heavy freight. To prepare for surges in shipping volume during peak seasons, FedEx plans to operate transportation capacity management and response systems.
Currently, FedEx operates 43 weekly flights based out of the Incheon Gateway. The facility is equipped to handle up to 12,000 packages per hour and provides value-added services for industries such as automotive, semiconductors, and healthcare.
Recently, FedEx was selected as the 'Outstanding Logistics Company of the Year' at the 10th Incheon Airport Awards (ICN Awards). This recognition was the result of strong performance in cargo volume growth at Incheon Airport and international network index scores.
