Jeongeup City Selected for Four Village Enterprises in the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's "Village Enterprise Designation Review"
Jeongeup City has achieved a significant milestone in the "Village Enterprise Designation Review" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, with a total of four enterprises—including three newly designated ones—being selected as final recipients.
According to Jeongeup City, four enterprises from Jeongeup were included among the total 16 enterprises selected across Jeollabuk-do Special Self-Governing Province, marking a remarkable achievement within the province. The newly designated village enterprises through this review are Jeongeup Yeonjimaru Village Management Social Cooperative, Ribbon Village Management Social Cooperative, and Yonghoji Hwang Village Cooperative. In addition, Gamsungnamu Cooperative was re-designated as a village enterprise, enabling its continued operation.
Village enterprises are organizations established to revitalize the local economy and restore community spirit by fostering cooperation and communication among residents. Beyond simple profit generation, they play a pivotal role in actively utilizing local resources and realizing a variety of social values based on resident participation.
All four enterprises designated this time expressed their alignment with this purpose, stating their aspirations to resolve local issues and revitalize the economy by leveraging local resources and resident capabilities. They also requested ongoing attention and support from the administration.
