CJ ENM KCON Aims for K-Lifestyle Festival Leap... Set for Japan in May
CJ ENM announced on March 18 that it has finalized this year's annual theme for KCON as "Walk in SOUL CITY." The company expressed its ambition to create the world's largest K-lifestyle festival, encompassing not only K-pop but also Korean food, beauty, and various aspects of the Korean way of life.
KCON Japan 2026 will be held from May 8 to 10 at Makuhari Messe in Japan. This year's event will feature an enhanced "Festival Grounds" experience zone. In addition to the existing K-Food and K-Beauty zones, a new "K-Story" zone will be introduced, focusing on K-dramas and webtoons, bringing together the latest trends in one place.
The signature "M Countdown" stage will extend the headliner artist's performance time to one hour. Special performers include Japanese artist GAN and the duo Choi Lipwoo and Kang Woojin. The "X Stage" for rookies will feature six additional teams: AMP, Baby Don't Cry, Choi Yuri, Kibitz, Kibit Up, and Lissenne.
KCON LA 2026 will take place from August 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Crypto.com Arena in the United States.
