Hadong County to Participate in 'InterBattery 2026'... Aiming to Attract Secondary Battery Materials Industry
Introducing Investment Incentives for Daesong Industrial Complex
at the COEX Exhibition
Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province, will participate in the '2026 InterBattery' exhibition, held at COEX in Seoul from March 11 to March 13, 2026.
Through this event, the county plans to actively promote the outstanding location advantages of the Hadong District in the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone, the benefits of being designated as an Opportunity Development Zone, and exclusive incentives such as subsidy support unique to Hadong County.
'2026 InterBattery' is the largest battery industry exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and co-organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association, COEX, and KOTRA.
This year's exhibition is expected to feature participation from approximately 700 companies, with more than 2,000 booths in operation, and to attract over 75,000 buyers.
In addition, 'The Battery Conference' will highlight key issues in the global battery industry, such as next-generation battery technologies and strategies, the battery supply chain, and the ESS market. This is expected to provide a venue to explore the future direction of the rapidly evolving battery sector.
Hadong County will collaborate with related organizations, including the Hadong Office of the Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority, to operate a professional consultation desk at their promotional booth. The county will also engage in aggressive investment promotion activities, such as holding one-on-one investment consultations with domestic and international company representatives visiting the exhibition.
In particular, Daesong Industrial Complex secured a package of exceptional benefits last year through its designation as an Opportunity Development Zone, including corporate and income tax reductions, financial support, and regulatory exemptions.
The county plans to leverage these strengths to conduct even more aggressive investment promotion, discover companies related to both upstream and downstream segments of the battery industry, and foster Hadong as a new secondary battery material industrial complex in the southern region of Korea.
