Stresses Absolute Prohibition on Burning Agricultural By-Products, Household Waste, and Rice Paddy and Field Ridges
Haman County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on the 25th that Vice Governor Seok Ukhee of Haman conducted wildfire prevention inspections from the 19th to the 24th, touring 10 towns and townships to call for special caution against thaw-season wildfires caused by dry weather and strong winds.
During these inspections, Vice Governor Seok visited community centers in each town and township, stressing that the burning of agricultural by-products, household waste, and rice paddy and field ridges must be strictly prohibited. He also visited farms using wood-fired boilers and focused on checking how embers were being handled and managed after using the boilers.

Vice Governor Seok Ukhee said, "Since March, which is just around the corner, is a period with a high risk of large wildfires, the best way to prevent wildfires is not to conduct any burning and to thoroughly manage embers," and added, "I hope all residents of the county will stay alert to wildfire prevention and put it into practice."
