The Yangju City Edutech Shared School is an artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital content production education program operated as part of the Education Development Special Zone project, in cooperation with Gyeongdong University, with the aim of enhancing teenagers' creative thinking skills and digital creation capabilities.

The program recruited students from 5th grade in elementary school to 3rd grade in high school and was run intensively over a four-week period. Participating students were divided into a webtoon class and a video class, and they carried out the entire process from planning to production using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

At the results presentation, the webtoons and video works created by the students were exhibited and screened, and the achievements of the project and the operational direction for 2026 were shared. About 80 people, including Yangju Mayor Kang Suhyeon, the Vice President for Industry-Academia Cooperation at Gyeongdong University, students, and parents, attended the event.

An official from Yangju City said, "The experience of using artificial intelligence (AI) to turn their thoughts and imaginations into content will have been a meaningful learning opportunity for the students," adding, "We will continue to expand region-based edutech education in the future."

The works produced by the Edutech Shared School students are scheduled to be exhibited in March at the Open Gallery on the 3rd floor of Yangju City Hall.
