Kim Dongyeon Says He Is "Truly Proud" of Women's Short Track Relay Gold
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dongyeon said on the 19th that he is truly proud of the women’s short track national team for winning the gold medal in the 3,000m relay.
In a message posted on his social networking service (SNS) account that day, Governor Kim said, “The true strength of Korean short track has been perfectly proven through skill and teamwork,” adding, “The women’s short track national team reached the top in the 3,000m relay, and I am truly proud of them.”
He went on to say, “From Captain Choi Minjeong, who is so reliable, to Kim Gilli, the master of comebacks, as well as Noh Dohui, Shim Sukhee, and Lee Soyeon, who united as one team, it was a golden journey created by all of them together.”

Earlier, the women’s short track national team won the gold medal in the women’s 3,000m relay at the 2026 Milano-Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics.
