Paju City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the 1st “Employer-Jobseeker Meeting Day” of 2026 over three days from February 24 to 26 at the Paju Employment Welfare Plus Center (8th floor, MH Tower in Geumchon-dong), with the aim of providing practical employment and recruitment opportunities between local jobseekers and hiring companies and promoting regional job creation.
In this event, 13 companies recruiting talent in various fields will participate and hire a total of 86 people. The main positions include production and packaging in the food, medical device, and household goods sectors; production, materials inspection, maintenance, and on-site cleaning in the semiconductor sector; customer service; sales and general affairs; and assembly and delivery of home appliances, allowing jobseekers a wide range of job choices.
During the event, the Paju Job Center will provide on-site interviews along with recruitment agency services (resume submission). Jobseekers can apply in advance and prepare their resumes and self-introduction letters to take part in on-site interviews, and tailored employment counseling suited to each individual’s situation will also be offered at the venue.
Lee Igoo, Head of the People’s Livelihood Economy Division, said, “I hope this ‘Employer-Jobseeker Meeting Day’ will serve as a practical opportunity to connect companies with the talent they need and jobseekers with stable jobs,” adding, “We will continue to contribute to regional employment stability and the recovery of the people’s livelihood economy through ongoing recruitment events.”
Meanwhile, Paju City held the “Employer-Jobseeker Meeting Day” a total of four times last year, with 44 companies and 588 jobseekers participating. Among them, 212 people successfully found employment, recording an employment rate of about 50%. As this is the first event of the year, even greater results are expected through more systematic operation.
