Aero K Successfully Launches Cheongju–Taichung Route... Expands Air Links with Taiwan
High Load Factor on Lunar New Year Charter Flights...Considering Transition to Regular Service
Aero K Airlines announced on February 19 that it successfully operated a series of non-scheduled flights on the Cheongju–Taichung route during the Lunar New Year holiday period in collaboration with local travel agencies in Taiwan. The airline achieved results in attracting local demand from Taichung, Taiwan's second-largest city with a population of about 2.9 million, to Cheongju Airport, and has begun detailed reviews to launch a regular service on this route.

Through this, the airline plans to secure a stable demand base while at the same time strengthening the competitiveness of international routes centered on Cheongju Airport.
Flight performance is also on an upward trend. The Cheongju–Taipei route, which was first launched in September 2023, has now been expanded to two flights per day and is gaining recognition among travelers from the Chungcheong region and tourists from Taiwan. In particular, about 15% of passengers on the Taipei route are local Taiwanese, and the route is assessed as contributing both to attracting foreign tourists via Cheongju Airport and to revitalizing the local economy.
Aero K Airlines is currently operating routes such as Cheongju–Taipei, Cheongju–Taichung, Cheongju–Penghu, Incheon–Kaohsiung, and Incheon–Hualien, building a network that connects major hubs within Taiwan.
An Aero K Airlines official said, "Taiwan is a market with a high repeat-visit rate because it is geographically close to Korea," adding, "We will enhance the international status of Cheongju Airport through a route diversification strategy that connects the various attractions of Taiwan, including Taichung and Hualien, beyond Taipei."
