Based on this cooperative relationship, the two cities have created a meaningful opportunity to promote mutual growth between regions through the Hometown Love Donation program and to contribute to the development of the local community, which makes this initiative all the more significant.
The Hometown Love Donation program allows individuals to donate to regions other than their place of residence and, in return, receive tax credits as well as gifts worth up to 30% of the donated amount.
Each person can donate up to KRW 20,000,000 per year, of which up to KRW 100,000 is eligible for a full tax credit.
Yeongcheon City is continuously working to discover attractive return gifts for Hometown Love Donations and to improve donor satisfaction, and is actively exploring ways to ensure that the donated funds provide tangible benefits to the local community.
