Deoksan Haimetal is a company that successfully localized solder balls with its own technology and has secured global semiconductor companies such as Samsung Electronics and SK hynix as major customers. Hanjung NCS modularizes key components of water-cooling systems and supplies them to Samsung SDI and others, and it jointly developed with Samsung SDI the first water-cooled ESS cooling system in Korea and commercialized it.
This visit was President Hwang's first field trip to an industrial site outside the Seoul metropolitan area since the Export-Import Bank of Korea launched the "AX (AI Transformation) Special Program," which will inject 22 trillion won over five years to strengthen global competitiveness in the AI industry. It was arranged to support the enhancement of global competitiveness for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies in the AI sector, and to demonstrate the bank's strong commitment to fostering the AI ecosystem beyond the metropolitan area.
At the Deoksan Haimetal headquarters, CEO Kim Taesu said to President Hwang, "Financial support for SMEs and mid-sized companies with technological capabilities is essential so that globally competitive companies can grow even in regional areas," adding, "We hope the Export-Import Bank of Korea will serve as a key partner in supporting our company's leap forward." In response, President Hwang said, "We will further strengthen our support for promising SMEs and mid-sized companies located in regional areas so that future strategic industries such as AI can spread to non-metropolitan regions."
