Daegu Veterans Office Designates Additional Contracted Hospital for Veterans in Dalseo-gu
Gyeongil Neurology and Internal Medicine Clinic to Begin Providing Medical Services to Eligible Veterans Starting February Next Year
The Daegu Regional Office of Veterans Affairs (Director Kim Jongsul) announced that 'Gyeongil Neurology and Internal Medicine Clinic,' located in Dalseo-gu, Daegu, has been newly designated as a contracted hospital for veterans. Starting from February 1, 2026, the clinic will begin providing medical services to eligible veterans.
The contracted hospital system for veterans is designed to allow recipients of veterans' medical benefits, including national merit honorees, to conveniently receive care at nearby medical institutions, even in areas without dedicated veterans hospitals. Currently, there are at least one such contracted hospital in each city, county, and district in the Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province region, with a total of 120 facilities in operation. Of these, 39 are located in Daegu and 81 in North Gyeongsang Province.
Gyeongil Neurology and Internal Medicine Clinic, newly designated as a contracted hospital in Dalseo-gu, plans to provide community-based medical services focused on neurology and internal medicine, including chronic disease management for elderly veterans.

An official from the Daegu Regional Office of Veterans Affairs stated, "We will continue our efforts to expand the contracted hospital network so that national merit honorees can more easily access medical services in their daily lives," adding, "We will do our utmost to further improve access to veterans' medical care in the future."
