Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Sees Success with 'Gyeonggi Culture Pass' Mobile App for Cultural Consumption Coupons
Gyeonggi Province's cultural consumption coupon, the 'Gyeonggi Culture Pass,' achieved early success by entering the top ranks of major mobile app market popularity charts immediately following its official service launch on January 26.
The Gyeonggi Culture Pass is a Gyeonggi Province-style cultural consumption support platform that provides consumption coupons, allowing all Gyeonggi residents to enjoy cultural content across seven categories-movies, performances, exhibitions, sports, accommodation, activities, and books-at discounted prices.
After launching as a pilot program in September last year, the Culture Pass mobile app service began official operations on January 26, 2026. Currently, 200,000 members are using the service.
As of the fourth day after launch, January 29, the Gyeonggi Culture Pass ranked third overall among free apps on the Apple App Store and first in the lifestyle category. It also secured the top spot in the lifestyle category on the Google Play Store, entering the upper ranks of major app markets simultaneously.
