Korea Maritime Institute Strengthens Employee Health Management... Launches "Health Promotion Room" Operations
On-site Health Manager Provides
Prevention-Focused Health Management
and Work-Related Stress Support
The Korea Maritime Institute (KMI, President Cho Jeonghee) has established a "Health Promotion Room" within the institute to create a healthy working environment for its employees and will begin full-scale operations.
The newly launched Health Promotion Room serves as a health management office in accordance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act. It was established to further strengthen the institute's health management system and to systematically manage and prevent health issues among employees with a focus on prevention.
A licensed nurse will be stationed as a health manager in the Health Promotion Room, providing a variety of health management services for employees, including: △ follow-up management based on health checkup results, △ individual health consultations and lifestyle improvement guidance, △ counseling for work-related stress, △ basic first aid and initial emergency response, and △ operation of various health promotion programs.
Through these services, employees will be able to receive one-stop support, ranging from daily health management and work-related stress relief to emergency response.
Cho Jeonghee, President of the Korea Maritime Institute, stated, "With the launch of the Health Promotion Room, we plan to gradually expand the necessary facilities and equipment. We will actively support work-related stress management and the formation of healthy lifestyle habits to create an environment where employees can work healthily, while also improving both work engagement and quality of life."
