Metropolitan Transportation Network Expected to Improve in Yangji, Gorim, and Dunjun Areas
Starting in 2027, a metropolitan public bus will operate between Yangji District in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, and Pangyo Station in Seongnam.
The Yongin city government announced on December 29 that the route connecting Yangji District and Pangyo Station was finally selected during the review by the Gyeonggi-do Metropolitan Public Bus Route Committee.
The new route will be a direct-seat bus connecting Yangji District, passing through Gorim-dong and Dunjun Station, and ending at Pangyo Station. Six buses will be deployed on this route, operating 30 times a day.
The buses are scheduled to stop at the following stations: Yangji-myeon Administrative Welfare Center, Yangji Intersection, Dongbudong Administrative Welfare Center, Seoul Hospital, Gorim High School & Yulim 2-dong, Yulim-dong & Bangchuk, Dunjun Station & Injeong Melody Apartment, Geumto Stream Bridge, and the east side of Pangyo Station.
The city plans to operate the buses from 2027, in cooperation with Gyeonggi Province, after completing procedures such as selecting a transportation operator, securing vehicles, and assigning drivers.
