View original imageThe Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (hereinafter referred to as Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae) announced on December 9 that the Mokpo Branch of the Korea Shipping Association had donated 1.4 million won to the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign.
The donation ceremony was attended by Choi Jongjin, Head of the Southwest Regional Headquarters of the Korea Shipping Association; Cho Youngcheon, Head of the Mokpo Branch of the Korea Shipping Association; Oh Seheon, Fundraising Team Leader at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae; and other staff members.
The Mokpo Branch of the Korea Shipping Association made this donation as part of the Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign, aiming to deliver hope to neighbors in need of care within Jeonnam Province.
The entire amount donated will be used to improve welfare for neighbors in need of care within Jeonnam Province, including covering medical expenses, living expenses, and emergency support costs.
Choi Jongjin, Head of the Southwest Regional Headquarters of the Korea Shipping Association, stated, "Although it is a small amount, we participated with the hope that it would bring hope to neighbors in need of care in our region," adding, "We will continue our ongoing sharing activities to remain an association that works together with the local community."
Oh Seheon, Team Leader at Jeonnam Sarangui Yeolmae, said, "The warm-hearted donation from the Mokpo Branch of the Korea Shipping Association will be a great source of strength for neighbors facing difficulties," and added, "We will carry out our projects with even greater responsibility to ensure the donated funds are used where they are truly needed."

Meanwhile, the 'Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign' is a year-end campaign sponsored by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Jeonnam Province, running until January 31 of next year under the slogan, "Make myself valuable through giving, make Jeonnam valuable through giving."
