The Hwasun-eup Administrative Welfare Center in South Jeolla Province announced on December 8 that it recently conducted the "2025 Joint Fire Drill for Public Institutions" in cooperation with the Hwasun Fire Station, in preparation for winter fire incidents.

View original imageThis drill was attended by 53 people, including staff members, and was designed to ensure the safety of both employees and visitors in the event of a fire at the Administrative Welfare Center. The training simulated real-life situations, including fire extinguishing and evacuation drills, to improve the ability to prevent and respond to casualties.
After the fire drill, the fire station instructor provided training on how to use fire extinguishers, as well as the locations and usage of fire hydrants within the Administrative Welfare Center.
A representative from the fire station emphasized, "The safe evacuation of visitors is the top priority in the event of a fire. It is important to cover your nose and mouth with a wet towel or similar item to avoid inhaling smoke, and to evacuate in a low posture."

Cho Youngil, head of Hwasun-eup, stated, "This drill has highlighted the importance of regular fire prevention inspections. We will continue to conduct regular drills and inspections to create a safe administrative environment.
