Experiencing Harvesting with a Soybean Combine Harvester
Lee Seunghwa, Governor of Sangcheong County in South Gyeongsang Province, visited the paddy soybean cultivation complex in Danseong-myeon to conduct an on-site inspection.
According to Sangcheong County on December 4, Governor Lee inspected the paddy soybean cultivation complex, which is being promoted as part of the rice cultivation area adjustment program, and examined the crop conditions and cultivation process.
He also held a meeting with officials from the Sangcheong Soybean Growers Association and other related parties, listening to on-site challenges and engaging in communication.
In particular, Governor Lee participated in a demonstration of a combine harvester for soybeans, personally boarding the machine to experience the harvesting process.
In line with the government's rice cultivation area reduction policy, Sangcheong County has more than doubled the paddy soybean cultivation area this year to 180 hectares, compared to 87 hectares last year.

Governor Lee stated, "Paddy soybeans are an important crop that can diversify the agriculture structure centered on rice cultivation and increase farm household income. We will establish practical support measures to ease the burden on farmers who are struggling due to changes in weather conditions and labor shortages."
