Daegu-Gyeongbuk’s Largest Childcare Expo ‘Daegu Baekki’ Opens at EXCO with Domestic and International Brands Participating
The largest childcare expo in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region, the 'Daegu Baby & Kids Fair (Daegu Baekki),' will be held at EXCO from December 4 to 7. Co-hosted by EXCO and Messe Esang and sponsored by the Daegu Metropolitan Government, this expo will feature a wide range of premium domestic and international childcare brands, including Britax, Inglesina, Daiichi, Silver Cross, Clek, Doubleheart, Hegen, Baby Brezza, Bamboobebe, BioGaia, Bebeluna, Bebesup, and Mustela. These brands will showcase the latest childcare trends and new products.
The 46th Daegu Baekki will be held concurrently with the '2025 Daegu New Life Festival,' which is hosted by the Daegu Metropolitan Government and organized by the Gyeongbuk Ilbo. During the event, a variety of experiential programs for families will be offered, such as a baby model contest, a family concept photo contest, initial keyring making, and a children's play zone.
Of particular note is the baby model contest, which is currently accepting online applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Selected participants will take part in on-site photo shoots from December 4 to 7. Prizes will be awarded through a judging process: first place (main model for the 2026 Baby & Kids Fair and prizes worth 300,000 KRW), second place (prizes worth 100,000 KRW), third place (prizes worth 50,000 KRW), and popularity award (prizes worth 50,000 KRW). The awards ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on December 7.
Prior to the opening of the exhibition, a variety of on-site events for visitors will also be available. These include early bird gifts for the first 100 visitors, a 100% winning draw event with tickets for up to 50,000 KRW in Kobe Pay, and giveaways for those who follow the official KakaoTalk channel or Instagram account, all of which are expected to heighten anticipation for the event.
Special benefits for expectant and new mothers are also drawing attention. Nutricia’s free membership program, 'Apta Club,' will provide a box of baby wipes to pregnant women and mothers of one-year-olds, and additional benefits such as Naver Pay will be offered to mothers within 120 days postpartum. In addition, applications are open for the 'Bebeking Box,' a congratulatory gift for pregnancy provided to 200 recipients each month, further supporting families in the early stages of childcare.
