Yongsan District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Heeyoung) is partnering with LG Uplus to run a company tour program for young job seekers preparing for careers in artificial intelligence (AI) and information technology (IT). On November 30, the district announced that it is recruiting participants for the “Future Careers Navigation Project - Youth AI Top Companies Tour Program that Adds Value to U.”
This project is being promoted through the combination of Yongsan District’s youth employment capability enhancement policy and LG Uplus’s commitment to youth support as part of its social contribution initiatives.
The tour will take place on December 9 from 1:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the LG Uplus headquarters (32 Hangang-daero). Participants will have the opportunity to directly experience the workplace of LG Uplus, which is expanding its business into AI, cloud, IoT, and data analytics based on 5G communications.
The program consists of special lectures by current employees on the company’s digital innovation strategies, examples of AI technology applications, ESG activities, and external cooperation processes, as well as a tour of the headquarters. A total of 25 participants will be selected. Eligible applicants are young people aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Yongsan District, including university students majoring in IT-related fields, job seekers preparing for positions in external cooperation such as social contribution, public relations, or policy, and unemployed youth hoping to pursue careers in these areas.
Applications can be submitted until December 4 through the “Events/Education” section of the Yongsan District Office website, via QR code, or through the application link (https://naver.me/5UTw7pp4). Final participants will be notified individually by text message on December 5.
