The event was held successfully, and attendees celebrated a new beginning for senior welfare through a commemorative ceremony and a tour of the facility.
The newly opened Dongducheon Senior Citizens' Center is a three-story building with a total floor area of 1,335 square meters. It features a community space with a book cafe, an employment center, program rooms, and a large auditorium. The center will serve as a hub for various forms of social participation, including job opportunities for seniors and the operation of a senior college.
