Jeonbuk Province Recruiting Applicants for "Youth Farmer Settlement Support Project"

Jeonbuk Province is accepting applications for the "2026 Youth Farmer Settlement Support Project" until December 11.
According to the province on November 7, this recruitment is being conducted to help young farmers establish a stable foundation for their agricultural activities. Applications can be submitted through the online Agricultural and Forestry Project Information System.

View original imageThis is the first round of recruitment, selecting 2,000 people nationwide. Applicants must meet the following criteria: be between 18 and 40 years old (born between 1985 and 2008), have less than three years of independent farming experience, and have a household health insurance premium at or below 140% of the median income.
Selected young farmers will receive a settlement support payment of up to 1.1 million won per month for up to three years. In addition, various related support will be provided, including successor farmer loans for purchasing or leasing farmland and facilities, priority access to farmland bank rentals, and preferential credit guarantees from the Agricultural, Forestry and Fisheries Credit Guarantee Fund.
This year, the province has selected 410 young farmers within Jeonbuk to support their settlement, and next year, the final recipients will be determined through document screening and interview evaluations, with the results to be announced in January.

Kim Sinjung, Director of Agricultural Life Policy at Jeonbuk Province, stated, "Establishing a solid foundation for young farmers to grow is the key to the future competitiveness of agriculture," and added, "We look forward to the active participation of young people who will pave the way for a new era of agriculture in Jeonbuk."
