Preventing Accidents by Following Basic Workplace Safety Rules
On November 4, Gijang County in Busan (Mayor Jung Jongbok) conducted safety inspections at the Fisheries Resource Research Center and Daebyeon Port, reviewing affiliated facilities.

View original imageThis inspection was carried out as part of the county’s regular biannual safety and health management rounds. Jung Jongbok, the county’s chief officer in charge of safety and health management, personally visited the sites to check the working environment and promote a culture of safety.
At the site, Mayor Jung closely examined major risk factors, including the management status of government office facilities, working conditions in confined spaces, safety measures in the seed production research process, and the fairness of illegal fishing supervision and enforcement.
He also held a meeting with on-site workers and contract employees to listen to their difficulties and suggestions for improvement, urging the implementation of practical safety measures.
This inspection was linked to the '2025 Second Half Safety and Health Compliance Inspection,' with a particular focus on improvements to hazardous and dangerous factors, the implementation of emergency response plans and drills, and the fulfillment of safety and health obligations in subcontracted, service, and consignment projects.
