Paju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on November 4 that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Unjeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center and National Sports Center on November 3, officially commencing construction.

The Unjeong 4-dong Administrative Welfare Center and National Sports Center is a multi-purpose complex designed to meet the administrative, welfare, and sports needs of Unjeong 4-dong residents. With a total project budget of 30.1 billion won, the facility will consist of one basement floor and three above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 6,337 square meters.
The Administrative Welfare Center will house a comprehensive civil service office, a resident autonomy center, a public library, and a health clinic. The National Sports Center will include an indoor gymnasium, a fitness center, and a multi-purpose GX (Group Exercise) room, among other facilities for local residents’ recreational activities.
The city aims to complete construction by June 2027 and expects the new complex to greatly enhance resident convenience and revitalize the local community once it is finished.
